Repair Facts

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if I am involved in an accident?

It's best to report accidents to the police to ensure an accurate written report is on file in case problems arise.   Write down the names, addresses and phone numbers of the other parties involved and those of any witnesses to the accident.

Do I have the right to choose the repairer?

It is best to check with your Insurance Company about their requirements and any recommended Repairers they may have.

How should I choose a shop to repair my vehicle?

Track Right is recognised as a specialist repairer in the field of accident damaged suspension, diffs and drivetrain components.   There are very few such specialists available to carry out this type of work.   Accordingly Track Right is approved to carry out such repairs for all Insurance Companies and can also undertake work for self insured fleets or private vehicle owners.   We are continually developing process's and equipment to keep abreast of modern vehicle manufacturing and material changes.   We do not do service work, we do not do panel repairs; we specialise in damaged suspensions and driveline components.

How do I arrange for a quotation on repairs?

Contact Track Right and we will arrange a suitable time for your vehicle to come in.   We will carry out necessary checks and measurements to enable an estimate to be produced.

Must I notify the insurance company before repairs are made?

Yes - Most insurance policies require you to notify your agent or the company, file a claim or report, and tell them where the damaged vehicle may be inspected.   If your car is going to a Panel Shop and has suspension or driveline damage, the Panel Shop will arrange for any required repairs as part of the original claim.

Who is responsible for the cost of repairs?

Again, check with your Insurance Company.   In most instances you will be responsible for paying an excess.   This will need to be paid to the Repairer before you take delivery of your vehicle, usually at pick up time from the Panel Shop.   If your car is at Track Right we can accept any due payments on collection of your vehicle.

Who is responsible for the repairs made to my vehicle?

The Repairer - That's why it is important to select a reliable repairer.  The right facility will be properly equipped and staffed to restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition.

Who should I contact if there is a problem with the repair?

First, the manager of the shop. - Responsible shop owners and managers stand behind their services and provide warranties which cover their work.  They will work with you to solve the problem.  If your problem is not resolved contact the claims manager at your insurance company.
